Obtaining a valuation couldn't be simpler, with valuers and specialists on hand Tuesday-Thursday 10am-6pm. Once we have assessed your items, we advise you which sale would best suit. Items can be brought into either our Tetsworth or Brentford valuation branch or home visits can be arranged by appointment with our specialists.
We charge sellers commission of 15% + VAT on the hammer price. We also charge a £5 + VAT entry fee per lot each sale the lot is entered into and a loss and damage fee of 1% + VAT of either the estimated low value or the reserve.
It’s easy and good fun! Our auctions are held in the ballroom at The Swan at Tetsworth. Before being able to bid you need to register at the reception desk, where you will be allocated a bidding number. Once you have made a successful bid the auctioneer will ask you for your bidding number and that’s it, the item is yours. Please note we do not accept credit cards.

If you are unable to attend the sale, you can instruct us to bid on your behalf. You can do this by phone, email, or in person at the reception desk. Just fill the form in letting us have your details, and then which lot number/numbers you are interested in and the maximum amount you would like to bid per lot. Because of the volume of bids, it is best to give us a call after the auction to see if you have been successful.
You can bid online with us through either the-saleroom.com/theswan (additional 4.95% charge for using this service) or easyliveauction.com/auctioneers/swanfineart (additional 3% charge for using this service or £3). You will have to register with your chosen choice to use the live online platform.
