'The Lemon Slice', interior scene, an elegant woman in a red fur trimmed jacket and yellow satin skirt, seated at a table with a gentleman offering a thin slice of lemon on a fork, bearing old paper labels verso, giltwood and gesso framed.
(oil 38.5cm x 51cm, frame 61cm x 72.5cm)

N.B. an almost identical and similar size painting sold at Sotheby's Auction, 5th June 2008, Lot 46, the difference in the painting is that there is an oval portrait of a gentleman on the wall above the lady, rather than a set of roundels
