John Betts was a luthier and entrepreneur who created a workshop that included some of the finest makers of the period, Vincenzo Panormo, Bernard Simon Fendt, Richard Tobin and John Fuber are to mention a few. The Betts workshop was one of the most prominent workshops at the beginning of the 19th Century in England.
